Guided by Experience
Helping veterans, first responders, and trauma survivors find balance again.
You’ve carried the weight of service, duty, or past trauma long enough. Maybe it shows up as looping memories, being on guard even when nothing is wrong, or feeling distant from the people you care about. People who have spent years in environments where staying calm under pressure was essential often struggle with feeling numb, having intrusive memories, and constantly being on edge. You may be searching for relief or purpose—a life where you can let your guard down and feel fully present without the constant pull of stress or vigilance.
As a Marine Corps veteran and trauma-focused therapist, I specialize in EMDR and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help the brain and body heal. We’ll identify how your nervous system has been shaped by trauma and create a plan to restore a sense of balance, connection, and meaning so you can move forward with clarity and strength.
Healing takes courage, and we can navigate it together. I understand the emotional armor it takes to survive demanding environments—and how hard it can be to set it down. Therapy can be a place to reconnect with your values, rediscover your purpose, and finally feel at home in your own body and mind. Reach out when you’re ready to begin.
Outside of his counseling practice, Joe enjoys exploring the outdoors. He also finds connection and renewal through traveling abroad and experiencing new cultures.
